What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website can store on your device. Some are set directly by the site you are
visiting (“first-party”), others by services embedded in it (“third-party”). We use
the term “cookies” here to also cover similar technologies, such as data your browser stores
locally (localStorage), which we use to remember your cookie choice.
The cookies we use
Kenya House Romania keeps things simple. We currently run no analytics or marketing cookies — nothing is set unless you actively opt in through the preference panel below. Here is what each category would be used for:
Required for the site to function: remembering the language you chose, basic navigation state, and your cookie preference itself. These cannot be switched off, because the site cannot work properly without them, and no consent is required to use them under the ePrivacy rules.
Would help us understand which pages are useful and how visitors move through the site, so we can improve it. If we introduce an analytics tool in future, it will only run for visitors who accept this category.
Would help us measure the reach of our cultural programme across other platforms. As with analytics, nothing in this category runs unless you opt in.
Your choices
You decide when you first visit the site, using the banner at the bottom of the page. You can change your mind at any time — reopen the preference panel from the link in the footer, or with the button below — and most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly in their settings.
Legal basis & your rights
Essential cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Analytics and marketing cookies, if ever enabled, rely on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) and are only set after you opt in.

Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page if what we use changes — for example if we start using analytics — and update the date at the top. Your existing preference stays in place until you change it.
