FULL PROGRAMME Milestone 18 SEP 2025 Signing of the Kenya–Romania Agreement
MaMa Doing Good and Romania's Contemporary Cultural Identity Association (AICC) sign the memorandum establishing the Kenyan Cultural Centre in Bucharest, hosted by the Romanian Embassy in Nairobi.
The agreement was signed at the Romanian Embassy in Nairobi and facilitated by H.E. Gentiana Serbu, Romania's Ambassador to Kenya, who called the centre "an important aspect which will also open up doors to the European Union." It brought together MaMa Doing Good — which implements the initiatives of Kenya's First Lady, Rachel Ruto, in women's and youth empowerment — with AICC, Romania's Contemporary Cultural Identity Association, setting out a shared aim: a direct channel for Kenyan artisans into the EU market, alongside cooperation in agriculture, education and cultural exchange between the two countries.
State visit 6 OCT 2025 Official visit, Cabinet Secretary Gitau
H.E. Hon. William Kabogo Gitau, Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications & the Digital Economy, visits the Kenyan Cultural Centre — welcomed by Ambassador H.E. Gentiana Serbu and Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Chairman Florin Pîrkea, while leading Kenya's delegation to BCC2025.
The Cabinet Secretary toured the centre, signed its guestbook, and met Kenya House and Kenyan Cultural Centre representatives alongside members of his delegation. The visit coincided with BCC2025, the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce's flagship gathering, which he attended at the head of Kenya's delegation — placing the centre firmly on the itinerary of Kenya's most senior visiting officials.

The gathering brings together community, partners and press to witness the donation first-hand, and marks the first time the centre's permanent collection will be shown in full at Kenya House, Bd.
